The Wines of Lodi association get everyone together for a fantastic Valentine's Day celebration with fine wines and chocolate.

This year, Klinker Brick Winery located at 15887 N Alpine Rd. in Lodi (click on links for directions) has wisely decided that the 'Edge' boys will enhance the romance with our distinctive brand of music in their tasting room.

Doors open at 11 AM...our music warms the heart starting at 12 noon for three hours.

Each participating winery hosts activities including barrel tasting, blending classes, live entertainment and more! Be the lucky one to unwrap the “Golden Ticket,” and win a Wine Country Getaway or one of over 100 other prizes. Admission includes commemorative wine glass, chocolate and entrance to participating wineries all weekend long.

The coolest food, wine and music venue in Calaveras County...hands down. We get to play this gig a half a dozen times a year and it remains a favorite for all the obvious reasons.

Chef Jason Wright oversees a diverse menu, always has a tremendous selection of draft beers and fine wines from California. Add to that the music of Over the Edge and you have the ingredients for a tremendous evening.

Once again, the OTE boys get to open the festivities at the El Dorado Hills Art and Wine Affaire.

Our music starts at 11 AM with plenty of artists booths, food and great wines to sample. The rumor at the moment is that blues rocker Shane Dwight will take over the musical entertainment into the afternoon.

The Amador County Arts Council (ACAC) always well attended and acclaimed TGIF series is back in 2012 and what better way to kick it off than by heading to the oak tree lined amphitheater at the historic Kennedy Mine?

Acoustically perfect, grassy tiered family friendsly seating, bring your picnic dinner and wine and beer. This is one of the classiest ways to spend a Friday night in Amador County.

Come early for the best seats, never a cover charge and tell only about 30 or so of your favorite family and friends.

And please, PLEASE consider joining ACAC if you don't already belong. Such a worthwhile organization, putting on all of these and other exceptional events in our county. They need your support.

Is it any wonder WHY we like to play the wineries? Of course not! Is it any wonder why the wineries love US so much? Silly question.
